Mexico

It's now been a little over a month since Sheldon and me got back from our ten day trip to Mexico, and boy was it a trip! I figured since now my brain and body have kinda had a chance to relax from the trip I could put my thoughts together and talk about our time down there.

Day one-
We headed to the airport around I think it was like six in the morning o something like that. Needless to say it was pretty dang early. Sheldon's flight left like 4 hours after mine, but because I had a layover in Arizona, and his flight was direct we got there at the same time, maybe a few minute difference. Flying on my own is really kinda lame. I don't mind being by myself on some occasions, but not way up in the sky where I can't really do anything. One of the many lame things about flying is that your bags have to be under 50 pounds for them to only cost the minimal like 25 bucks. My bag was right on the dot 54 pounds which for some lame reason automatically brings the cost of the bag up to I think it was like 75 bucks. Super gay. The guy at the booth that I got my tickets from bumped me up to first class for 75 bucks and my bag was free. So either way I paid the stupid money but on the 4 hour flight from Arizona to Mexico I was by myself. Which contrary to the above statement of how I dislike flying that way turned out to be actually really nice. Lots of stretching room, I had my own bathroom, and my own flight attendant that was really nice, and I'm pretty sure I have flown with her before. We finally get to Mexico and our first great fun time happens. We get lost in a big foreign airport and have no idea where the other person is. Luckily we both speak Spanish fluently and we managed to find out that we were only 10 minutes away from each other on a bus. We got our bus ticket and headed on our way to Puebla which is the city that we stayed in for the first 4 days. The city was really nice and smallish. We got to our hotel by way of crazy taxi driver man that instead of taking us the way that would of been much easier and only taken ten minutes took almost an hour. Great times. We got to our hotel and they took us up to our rooms and let us in. Funny thing is they had to do that every time we wanted to go to our rooms because the key card system was broken. Hilarious. Also our rooms were rather amazing! not. It actually wasn't that bad. Nice comfy beds, they really were nice beds, T.V. that had a grand total of 5 channels and the best part of all of it a bathroom with a rear view look into the bathroom of the room behind us. Also the shower was designed for a 4 foot tall midget. So funny! We got our stuff settled in and decided to hit the town for the evening. Really nice little town that had a man in the center singing and smoking. He was from Spain which was really cool. We grabbed a bite to eat and checked out some of the sights till it started raining and we decided to head back and get some sleep, before our next day adventure to the pyramids. O so we thought.
Day two- Day two was a Saturday and it was the day that we were going to get our car and head out to see the pyramids. We get to the rental spot pick up our car and try and head out. Luckily for us we had a GPS that was all in Spanish and didn't work, so we got lost. Which was hilarious! Most of the roads that we took were right next to the ones that we wanted to take and it was just too funny. Sheldon's reaction to most of the drive was rather hilarious. So we decided that since we had no idea what we were doing that we would go visit some old member friends of Sheldon's and see if any of them could help us figure out the best way to get there. We met with two member families that were actually really awesome. They both made fun of my accent( I went to Spain on my mission and learn Castellano) we ate some great hot food and moved on to the next place. Also great people who owned a little restaurant. We ate some great home cooked food and sat and talked. To be honest it really felt like I was back on my mission for the first couple days that we were there. It felt like a pday with my comp and we were just out seeing the sights and sounds of our area. It was really fun and I really enjoyed it. It made me miss my friends over in my mission quite a lot. That's how we ended that day and drove our little white beast back to our hotel.
Day 3
- Sunday morning we decided to sleep in some instead of going to a church down there mainly because we didn't know what time it was at, and figured we could just drive up the area and say hi to them after church was done. We drove up to the church and found out that they were just about ready to finish up the last meetings for the day so we decided to hang around till it was over. This branch/ward was pretty sweet! Tons of really funny people and really genuine members. We got invited to a dinner with one of Sheldon's gossip buddies and we were set for food that evening. We saw a fiesta thing going on in the center on the way up to the capilla so we decided to go hang out there till our time to head over for dinner. They were having some pretty cool stuff going on down there. Mexican boxing which is now one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Lots of little shops and such and we started buying some gifts there. Little cool side note. The city itself is actually about 10 miles away from an active volcano that I guess erupts like 2 times a year. I got some sweet pictures of it smoking about and looking like it was ready to go. That night at the members house Sheldon and me talked with the family a bit about things that had been going on in the last 7 years( time since Sheldon has been back)and then we got to eating dinner. Which was awesome! tasty tortillas! The husband was a truck driver so we sat him down and had him give us the best route to get to the pyramids and the best route to get to Puerto Escondido which was the beach that we will be heading to in a couple days. We got lost on our way home which had quickly become a norm for our trip and got home finally and went to bed.
Day4-
We got up a little earlier than normal today so we could spend a good amount of time wandering through the pyramids. We had our route and we weren't going to get lost this time! When we got into the city that had the pyramid you could see them from where we were and it was still a good distance away. These things were huge! We got to the area and started to walk about checking out some of the smaller ones that had been destroyed and what not. Then we got to some that I had always wanted to see since my mission. I read a book in my mission that I now own called The Book Of Mormon On Trial. It's a really great book and I read it over and over all the time. Part of what they talk about is some of the areas in Latin America that were areas in which the Lamanites and Nephites lives and things and one of the structures they have found were believed to be were Jacob and his 12 sons lived for a time. The setup in The Book of Mormon more o less states that Jacob was in the middle surrounded by his twelve sons. Well when you get to the area there is one in the middle of a field with 12 smaller ones surrounding the area. In all reality it is really cool to think what it would be like for them, and to know what the real meaning of most of these pyramids was. We spent some time dinking around there and then we headed over to the gigantic one that you are able to climb. Man I don't know how they did that every day. They must of been huge! the stairs were crazy but the view from the top was amazing. You could see for miles around. What made this seeing for miles around soo hard was the fact that we had both died from the climb up! Holy Crap! The Mayans had to have huge legs! Those steps were some serious stairs that just got smaller and smaller the higher you got. It was worth the climb though. Although the climb down was kinda scary, for a few reasons. Number 1. I love jumping down stairs and have injured myself many times doing so, and these stairs would of not only killed me if I fell, but I would of been a huge spectacle for everyone there. Number 2. There was like a billion of them, so I held my jumping till the very end of the stairs. Also as we were coming down we passed a kid that was apparently also scared of falling to his death on the stairs because he was literally crawling down the stairs. Did I stop to help him? Did I make sure he was ok? Nope sure didn't, I got past him a little ways stopped and took a picture. Twas hilarious. We walked around for a little bit longer than hopped back into our most awesome car and headed to a different area of pyramids.

This city was called I believe Chula but I can't remember. It was said by legend and the Spanish Conquistadors that came through, that they made the Mayans build a Catholic church for ever pyramid there was in this city. Well there are over 250 Catholic churches in this small city. If that is true that is honestly amazing. I really would love to go down there and did around to find them. What we were really going to see is one of the even bigger pyramids over there. This thing was huge. You are only allowed to see the very top of it, because that is all they have uncovered up to this point. Uncovering the rest of this thing would mean demolishing like 5 o 6 miles of the town. This thing goes on for miles underneath the town and is just crazy huge. It really was cool to see this thing and see how these people lived and such. We decided to just go look around the city after this for a while and it was a pretty fun day. We grabbed dinner and headed home for the night.

Day 5
This was probably the day that I will remember for the rest of my life, mainly because we almost died o killed our car multiple times on this trip. We were about to embark on a 9 hour drive that we had no idea what it was like. We were in for the trip of our lives lol. The main road was super nice and easy. The biggest part of the trip was going to be the trip through the mountains. We got to the bottom of that looked at what we were going through, braced ourselves and headed on. The roads were just nice and easy for the first little part but once we got to the top and after the Mexican Guard stopped us the roads started getting a lot worse. Oh and they were made of dirt. Oh and there was potholes everywhere, oh and when I say potholes I meant craters in the road. The top of the mountain pass was so high, that when you get to the top of the mountain before you head down you reach a sign that says zona de nubes, which means cloud zone. So for the rest of the drive we were driving through the clouds. We stopped at the top to take a break and take some pictures but when we got out we noticed that our car was leaking, so we decided to get back in and hope it wasn't going to die on us and we would be stuck at the top of a mountain. As we started up again going through the clouds it started to rain on us as well which was probably nice because it was cooling our little car down. The downside to this rain is that it slowly turned from rain into a tropical storm of death. We almost had died several times on this trip from being run off the road to people pulling in front of us on the mountain and so forth, but this storm was the best, for a few reasons. 1. It turned the small potholes into bigger ones. 2. Those potholes were filled with water so they looked a lot less deep then they actually were. 3. Did I mention that we launched our car? after we took flight for a few seconds Sheldon and me looked at one another and started laughing to keep from crying lol. We kinda thought this road would never end for a while because it really wasn't ever ending. It started getting dark and we started to worry, when all the sudden we saw the ocean! We were so stoked! We finally had gotten to the town, which was also flooding..GREAT! we found the hostel that we were going to be spending the next few days, and the place was awesome! So much better than the hotel we were staying at before. We were starving so we decided to deal with the floods and go find some food. We ate went home got ready for bed and slept. I woke up during the night cause I had to go to the bathroom and I was super hot. So I walk into the bathroom and sit there for a second looking at the ceiling. There was something not normal just chillen there. We had geckos running around all over the place, I even caught a baby one and had figured it was just gonna be another gecko, so I turned on the light and holy crap! It was a huge scorpion! This thing had to be at least 6 inches long. So you can imagine that as I'm sitting here trying to take a leak while watching this thing to make sure it didn't decide to do a freak accident jump down was quite the experience. The thing which was later named Harold moved as I shut the door into our closet. An even better place for it to be. With our clothes. I told Sheldon the next day. He freaked I laughed. Great way to start the morning.

Day 6
Today was a day that I had been looking forward to for the whole trip! Today is the day that we would spend at the beach. We didn't get up till around noon mainly because we really didn't have anything that we had to do by a certain time, O so we thought. We got up went downstairs and they had breakfast already made up for us, and dang it was good. The first day we had Marlin tacos. Marlin is a tasty fish! We found out later that day that we were also the only people in the hostel for that entire week. Which was pretty cool. We told them about our little friend that we had with us for the night and they went quickly upstairs to deal with it. We headed down to the beach and just decided to chill for the day and get to know the beach. The area was beautiful and the water was crystal clear. I threw on my gear and headed to the water. I was amazed to find out that as soon as I set foot in maybe a foot of water there were fish everywhere. I stayed mainly by the rocks because that is were they all seemed to congregate. In like a reef setting just with rock instead of reef. It was super cool there were some tiny little guys and some huge fish. I stayed pretty close to the rocks most of the day, trying to get some pics of some of the fish, but I did go out probably about 60 feet o so off the beach were the water started to get pretty deep. As long as I stayed by the rocks I could see the bottom, but as soon as you strayed maybe 10 feet away it got really hard to see anything but black and every now and then a fish fly by. Kinda creepy and I didn't have a light so I stayed by the rocks. The farther I went out though the bigger the fish got. It was really cool. I spent most of my day doing that. I loved it. We went back, dropped our stuff off, showered and decided to take a nap for the next little while. The beach takes a lot out of you. We got up probably around 8 o 9 and went to find another restaurant. We found this neat little place that had some really good food. They also gave you bug spray at your table, which I thought was rather dang funny. Once we got back to our room that night there were a ton of geckos just all over the place and also a huge butterfly was just chillen on our wall. We got some sweet pictures of them all. I noticed something was on the door handle and I went to try and find a light to see what it was before I put my hand on it. Which I'm glad I did, because there was another one of those huge scorpions on the handle. We sat there for a second blowing on it waiting for it to move which it did by trying to run into the room. I smacked it away screamed like a girl and ran into the room. I hate those things.

Day 7
The people that we stayed with that ran the hostel were really nice. The staff was also pretty dang awesome. They took really good care of us. We went back to the beach today to do a little bit of surfing. I haven't been surfing in a long time. Mainly because I do not live in California anymore were I surfed and bogey boarded all the time. So this was gonna be an adventure. Our man Raul was our instructor that day and he had already taught like 8 classes. He taught us some stuff on the beach then we jumped into the water and started getting thrown into waves while he said, Rama, Rama, Arriba! which means paddle, paddle, up! Now we did this on a different part of the coast were there weren't as many rocks. There was a giant log in the middle of the water but hey obstacles on your first day of surfing after a few years is the only way to go. especially if it involves the possibility of sudden death. Loved it. It only took us both a few times of crashing into the water, me getting hit in the head with the board to get the hang of it. Raul was rather impressed with the two white boys as he called us. He said that he usually had to take everyone back in to teach them all over again what to do, but he said we picked it up quick which made me pretty proud of us. The only thing I wish I was in more shape for was the swim back park after every time we made it to shore. You see this is how it is. You stand up on the board, surf for a bit, fall off and then you have to get back on and paddle back out there. This was ok for the first few times, but after that our arms were dead. It was pretty dang awesome though, we decided that after that lesson we were gonna go take a nap for the rest of the day. That night we were in for a treat. We went with our Hostal lady to a lagoon that was like 10 miles away from where we had been staying. We got in a boat and went out to the middle of the lagoon. Now this is at night in Mexico in the rain, because apparently in Mexico at night the country knows nothing else is acceptable for weather but onslaughts of rain and rain and still more rain. So I was getting ready for the cold night ahead because believe it o not my body consists of maybe 2% body fat and can be out in the water on a cold night for maybe a minute before I become a human chatter box. What we were out there to see would of been totally worth it to me. You see there is a certain time of year that these glow shrimp come up form the bottoms of the ocean and into these lagoons to breed. They are about 4 inches longish, and what is so cool is that they make the water a turquoise blue when they are spooked o they move. So the moment we jumped in the water the whole area around our bodies went that color. It was amazing! So cool to see, and on top of that the water in the lagoon was like 80 degrees which was just heaven to my body! We spent a couple hours playing with the shrimp turning everything blue and then we headed back to our hostel to rest up for our long journey the next day.

Day 8,9
These days were spent with hilarious travels that included many flights of planes a 10 hour drive thought windy mountains that almost caused us extreme discomfort of the barfy nature and lots of shopping for gifts. All in all it was a really fun great trip that I rather enjoyed.

Ultimate Frisbee

I recently started playing this sport a few months ago, and I think I have only played like 2 times since then. Not because I have been busy with shows, or with work, or the girl..but because this game is so stupid!

Maybe its because I come from a sport back ground of all sports that involve as much running and pain as possible...Football(kicker) Rugby(fullback, wing). I played these sports in high school and college and I absolutely love them. I'm not quite sure why...it could be the awesome sensation of the crowd backing you up, the feeling you get when you hit someone without pads on, the blood and grime you clean off yourself after the game, I don't know what it is but I love it.....

Then there is Ultimate...the game that has become a happy valley over night hit(no one even knows what this is outside of happy valley). Now for those of you that read this that have no idea what this game is let me tell you...You play with a Frisbee, no equal amount of people and basically you throw the Frisbee to your teammates who then run to the touchdown area...WAIT WRONG!!!!!! once you catch the flat round object you can't run at all! See ever since I was a wee lad I was taught once you catch anything you run like Hades to the goal, touchdown, basket, whatever to get points...well in this lame game you catch the ball and in all your momentum you have to come to a dead stop....by which time people from the opposing team begins to do jumping jacks in front of you to stop any throwing at all...

I may add that I got in trouble a few times for just tackling people...another attribute that I have thanks to being taught to kill anything with a ball in Rugby...in short for all you people that love ultimate frisbee...please stop trying to spread the disease through out the world...I miss coming to a buddies house and playing football, soccer, rugby, hockey, basketball...now all I hear is lets play ultimate lameness....it saddens my spirits.

The last little while!

Hey everyone! man it's been a long time since I got on here. Well for all of you people that have read this blog, I don't know why lol, and are wondering about me and Katie we are doing great! We actually got together one night about 2 months ago to talk about things and decided to give it all another go, and it's amazing this time around. So different, so meaningful then the time before.

I have been in 2 shows since we last talked...Well I guess I finished one and started another one..such is the life of a theater person. The one show was fun, but I actually have stopped doing shows at the one theater for the rest of the year. Mainly cause I didn't like the line up they had for the rest of the year. But I'm excited to go see some close friends in Annie get your gun! I hear its gonna be a great show. I'm in Pirates of Penzance at the moment with the theater company that got my career started in the crazy world of theater, Center Street Musical Theater. We have been performing at the Castle Amphitheater in Provo. They were actually stationed in Center Street in Provo for about 5 years but due to some problems with the city were forced to shut down and move on..I think a lot of people hoped they would go away and not come back, but I'm so happy that they did. Yea I've had the chance to perform at the theaters that have been around longer, have the means to do huge shows and I've had an incredible time, and I look forward to doing more shows at the Scera theater and the Hale. But it's always nice to go back to my roots, the theater were I got my start and help them bring back a wonderful theater that has blessed the lives of so many people. I've also been doing the fun usual summer things! All water sports! haha.

I also wanted to get on here and share some of my opinion of the "great" politics that we have going on right now..It always amazes me how quickly a people can turn on someone that at one point they thought were so great. Now I never in a million years would ever vote for someone like Mr. Obama, and I love how most of the people that did vote for him are now regretting it. But here is my thing that I think is funny and just down right stupid on the part of the people that voted for him. YOU VOTED FOR HIM! you went to the voting sites got your little card and VOTED FOR HIM!. I remember around 3 months after he went into office that they walked around and asked people why they voted for him. The majority of the answers were because he was black. Also news persons would go up to people and be like what do you think about this and this policy? and most of the time they were like oh I think those are horrible and we should get rid of them if they pass. Well to their surprise those policies were from Obama! There is my problem with a lot of people of our country today..they acted on something because of the look of it not the acts...when the polls came back some like 65% of votes that voted for Obama had no idea what any of his policies actually were. They never took the time to actually read anything he wanted to do. So when people complain about all the crap he is putting on us, while yea it sucks for me too I sit back and smile at all the morons in America today that voted for him. You brought this on yourself. Maybe next time you will take a minute o two to actually read what the next presidential parties want to do with our futures, with our country that was once a country of righteous values, fighting for our freedoms, for our families our homes and our lives. I honestly sincerely think that our forefathers our up in heaven o wherever they are looking down at us with their heads hung in shame...because what they fought so hard for and so long for is turning into a country of lazy people. A country of people that sue anyone for any little thing...that think we don't need to protect ourselves from outside o domestic threats. that think money is way more important then anything else, and I don't care who I have to step over to get to that point...Really people? Come on! Wake up to the country that we are become and you would see how scary it could get if we don't do something about it....Now I know this could offend quite a few people but I don't care...I know what I want in my future and I want a world for my future kids that is free of the crap that I see out there right now...and if your offended by what I say I'm sorry...your welcome to go back to your little bubble of your own little perfect world. Cause I really think its time we as Americans wake up and do something to change our future....

The Lord Works in Misterious Ways

The last couple days have all been a blur to me, the days just haven't been the same. My old routine that I loved of going to work getting off and going home waiting for Katie to get done and come over are gone for now and for the first time in my life its been so hard to deal with...I didn't realize how huge of an impact she had on my life till she was no longer in it..I break down at almost the slightest thought of her and I just don't know what to do.

Tuesday morning I text my bishop and asked him if there was any way he could met up for some time to talk. See if he could help give me some council to deal with this right now, he said he would be happy to meet with me on Wednesday and I looked forward to it. Now this was something new to me, I've never had the urge to go and talk to my bishop before after a break up. The next day rolled along and I was trying to figure out what to say and how to get the most out of what was gonna happen. Katie and me started talking again on Tuesday and we were chatting online right before I got off work. We had decided that we couldn't keep it up like this so we decided to meet up later that night after she got off work.

Now even though she was the one that wanted to take this break I still feel like it was something that I did even though she said it wasn't to cause this break in our relationship for the time being. From the moment she left my apartment Monday night I couldn't get a certain thought out of my head that I have some things I need to get with my bishop and take care of. So that's why I called him and asked if we could get together. When I arrived at his place that feeling was even stronger, we got talking and I told him that I feel like this is the reason that even though Katie feels everything is going really good, she loves me, wants to be with me, but at the same time something wasn't right. He sat there for a second and after a few he looked up and smile at me. He then started talking to me about Adam and Eve and how when Satan made them aware that they were naked and had committed a sin, and how he told them to hide and cover themselves when the Lord called out for them. The next part hit home for me. The Lord called out for them and when they didn't answer the first time he then said where art thou. In Moses it says where go est thou? We continued talking about how the Lord knows everything about you. Well most of us would go duh we learned about that in primary. But what was new to me is when my bishop said that sometimes the Lord will let us do things in our lives that may be bad for us to a certain extent then one way or another will be like ok, were are you going? its time to come back to me now. He then told me a story I have heard a number of times in church and in his meetings about a time in his practice were one of his best friends at the time also partner made up some rumors about him and it almost broke up the whole practice. Well my bishop went into a state of depression for 3 years. His prayers at night started to get less and less meaningful, and the most interesting thing he said was in his prayers he would tell the Lord that he just wasn't ready to give that certain thing up yet, and that's how it went for the 3 year period. Well he got to the point where he just wasn't anything anymore but a withering human shell, he knelt down and told the Lord I cant do this anymore please take it away from me.

I had gotten to this point in my life. But our Heavenly Father made me realize it in a completely different way. He put one of the most amazing wonderful daughters of his father in my path and said here she is. But there's a catch. I'll let you get close enough to realize how much she means to you, how much you love her and want her in your life. But that's as far as I'm gonna let it go. If you want to see the outcome its time to come back to me. Now that may sound harsh to some but to me I really needed that smack in the face..Katie really is one of a kind person that I would gladly give up my life for her if it meant she was safe. I love her with all my heart. Now wither this means that we will start up a relationship later down the road and get married o she is in my life to help me prepare for someone else I don't know yet. All I know is I'm so happy that the Lord put someone in my life to put me in my place. It's a funny thought to me that I thought last night..Satan knows your weaknesses, and if you think about it in a certain way the Lord uses those same weaknesses as a strength to bring you back off of the beaten path. This is something that I am going to be doing for me and also gonna be doing for Katie, because if this ever does mount to something else I want to be the best for her in everything that she needs and all her wishes of a perfect temple experience.. I left the bishops with a new way of thinking and some homework to do lol. Katie dropped by my place later that night and we set off to go find a quiet place to talk. I was really worried how this was gonna go, and to find out she was too. But the night ended with a great respect for each other and a great talk. We are going to continue dating but she is just gonna add some extra dates into the mix. Now that is something that is gonna hurt so bad to know..I don't think anyone wants to know the girl/guy they love is out with someone else. But it's something she thinks she needs to do and while it doesn't make sense to me I will respect it. Hands were held we cuddled some and there was even a goodnight kiss, something I never expected in my wildest dreams to ever happen so soon. I love that girl with all my heart and I look forward to the next few however long this is gonna take..It's gonna take some time to get used to her dating other guys, but I think its gonna be all worth it in the end. Love you Katie and thank you so much for everything you do for me. You are amazing.

Relationships

This is probably one of the hardest blogs that I have ever written, or the hardest thing I have ever written period... I was with the most amazing girl in the world up until last night when she decided that we needed to take a break...Now this is something that tears me apart...I love this girl with all my heart and I want her to be happy. Last nights conversation was filled with tears, hugs, and hopefully not last goodbyes..

After our movie we sat in my car and she proceeded to tell me something I always feared with her, but kinda had an idea would happen sooner o later. She loves me, she loves being with me, she thinks I'm the best thing that has ever happened to her, but there is something in the back of her mind that just doesn't seem right, and her only way of figuring out what that is, is by going out there putting herself back on the market if you will and date other guys...When she said this my heart sank. I came to realize over the week that I was gone in Indiana how much I was in love with Katie and how I would gladly give my life for her if it came down to it. I know she loves me too, cause I've felt it from her when she says it to me, but I know she is really hurting at this as well, she left last night saying she's hoping she's not making the biggest mistake of her life but it feels like she is...

Now I get to sit back and wait for that call o message from her saying I've figured it out and we need to talk, and honestly this is going to be one of the hardest things I have ever had to wait for. Mainly because in order for her to do this I have to sit there and watch her date other guys week after week, till she comes to a conclusion of what she wants...Even after then I don't know the outcome. She may decide that she wants to be with me again, o she may decide that she needs to move on. She wants me to do the same thing but I already found what I want and there is no point in me spending money on another girl when I know its not going to do anything for me. So Katie I know you think its not fair to me, but I want you to figure it out.

Now if anybody does read this blog, please don't bash on Katie, this isn't her fault. She just doesn't know what to do and in her mind this feels like the only thing she can do to help her figure things out. Not only will she get a chance to see if there are other guys out there, it gives her a chance to not be around me. Sometimes in relationships that is needed..a chance to see what it's like without that person in your life. What if you are at all missing out on. If this is what she needs to do then I respect it in every single way..Now it doesn't make any sense to me..But there is no point in me pushing her farther away by doing that..

Katie is the most wonderful person I have ever met in my entire life. When I first met her I knew there was something special about her and I had to find out. We talked for a week and then finally she was able to spare some time to go on a date. The date was amazing. We had a great dinner filled with lots of fun, and the evening just kinda went from there. Every time I kiss her it feels like the first time I kissed her and that electric shock is something that is a whole new experience for me and its one of love undefined. She has the most warm bubbly personality that I have never had before in someone I've dated. She never looks at anything bad in her life as something that is hurting her life but something that will help lift her up. She has such a warm sense of love for those in her family and those around her in every day life. Many times I watched her as we were out on dates helping little kids along o playing with them while we waited in line. Our first date she went out to the bathroom and didn't come back for 10 minutes, I thought she got lost! lol. But she walked out holding the hand of a little girl that was having problems in the bathroom so Katie stopped to help. She has such a selfless heart and would really do anything for anyone..I saw her cry for the first time last night and it broke my heart..I know this is something she doesn't want to do not only because she told me, but cause she doesn't want to see me get hurt. She has such a wonderful heart and is always putting others before herself.

She even though she disagrees with me is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. She has such a wonderful sweet smile and beautiful blue eyes that every time I looked into them I got lost in the angel that she is. She really is a wonderful daughter of god and she was an angel in disguise in my life. Every time we touched she sent sparks through my body, every time I held her in my arms I knew this is where I wanted to be I felt so safe and as if nothing could ever go wrong. She has made me a better person in so many ways, and if she does read this Katie I want you to know that I think so highly of you, you are one of the most amazing people I have ever met in every way. I've said that to other girls before but nothing and no one has made me feel quite like you have.. It wasn't as real as i thought with those other girls till I met you, and I learned what those true feelings of love were. Thank you for showing that to me. Thank you for making me a better person, and no matter the outcome of this break, I will always love you with all my heart. I will always be in your corner and be your constant supporter when you are at your worst and no one is there for you. I will be there. I hope and pray that you will figure things out soon and that I come out on top. But I want you to be happy sweetheart, and if in the end you don't see yourself being happy with me anymore but with someone else then go for it. I will be behind you a 110% always and forever. You are one in a million and I love you Katie.

Theater

Theater to me has always been interesting. The whole process has created a new world of stress for me and I love it!. I never thought I would get hooked like I have when I did my first show..I basically did the first one because my 2 of my friends were in a show that needed extra guys. Little did I learn that every show almost always needs extra guys. lol

Now here I am 3 years later rehearsing for my 20 show. It has been so fun and I've loved every minute of it. I've been given the chance to be in so many different shows and the character is almost always different. It's so fun to play someone different for a couple of months. I've been in classic shows Like 7 brides for 7 brothers, Beauty and the Beast, I was Aladdin for a couple of months which was amazing! I owe all my success and opportunities as an actor to my Directors, Music people, Stage people and everyone behind the scenes that make us all look good up on stage.

When it comes to the world of theater is often referred to as its own little world and mainly for one reason, and that's because it is its own little world. Once you step over the threshold of the stage you are thrown into a whole new world of Lights, Costumes, Dance routines, Countless lines, Blocking and the fun and stress of having to learn them all in a matter of a few months, usually about 6 weeks. Rehearsals are long tedious but at the finished product with a run that is usually 3 to 6 weeks you always leave wanting more. That doesn't even factor in the stress that most of us "theater" people go through waiting for our chance to audition then waiting for the next couple days to find out if we were good enough and impressed the directors and their staff for a callback, then the call backs are the last chance you get to impress not only the directors, but the chance to impress the choreographers by learning as much as you can a routine that's in the show in a matter of about 30 minutes. Usually its the hardest routine because they want to see how you move how quick you can learn and how you present. I hate that part, mainly cause I can't dance to save my life. lol. And the funny thing to me is that I usually get put in numbers that require you to be a good dancer o at least do what I'm told I do very well and that's fake it. Throughout these last 3 years I've very slowly started to learn how to dance and it really has been a fun experience.

I love when we get down to opening night and we get a chance to see how our hard work has paid off. We get to see the reactions from our audiences and bring a message to them that we have been drilling into ourselves for the last 2 months. Every movement is timed, choreographed and lighted to the teeth and basically we are just all out there doing what we love best. Performing. Being onstage is one of my favorite things to do. Such a great time seeing all the lights and people everywhere. Then after 10 sometimes 20 shows the run is over and most of us start with something new. The sad part is we usually lose contact with a lot of the people that were good friends in the show..We all go our separate ways and hardly ever see each other again. Sometimes this is really hard for me to do. Sometimes it's not hard at all.

That's one thing of the Theater world that I don't really like. It's a funny process to watch. The first day of auditions there are people making new friends and we all play nice to see who gets in and what happens. Then call backs roll around and more of us start being friends. Then the final cast is placed and we start the show and the friendships and back stabbings start to form. There we all are the first day of rehearsals were basically we all go into a room we get our scripts our schedules and we start to find out who got what part and all the little clicks start to happen. The leads usually spend the more time together away from the ensemble then anyone because they have so much more to learn and the ensemble spends all their time together learning all the songs and dances. Now about 3 weeks later the cast all gets together for blocking and running it all together. We do see each other a few times each week for music and so forth but for a lot of the shows I've been in we are each separate learning our own things till the blocking has to come together. And it never fails that there are always rumors going around. Or people are mad because they think they could of done better then the people that were cast in the lead roles.

I'll admit there have been some shows where I too have wondered if I could of done better then the leads that were picked and I usually come out dead wrong. But I keep it to myself. A team is only as good as its weakest member. There is no point in being involved o starting rumors, Not liking people cause they got the part over me o what not. The sad thing is that happens so much in theater. Just because someone got a part over someone else they automatically hate them, without even getting to know the person. And it sometimes can ruin a show. Its so sad to see and I try to avoid it at all costs. I love all the casts I've been in and while some have been better then others I try my best to stay away from the gossiping and the bad mouthing. The sad things is, is that it still happens and it hurts lots of people but usually just one. I hope that if we all get a chance to be in the theater world we avoid this at all costs. It's never worth it in the end.

It's been a while!

So yea I slacked off and haven't been on here for the last little while. I've been busy ok! haha. We had tech week for our show last week and lets just say it was a long week. We opened that same week and our opening nights were pretty good. It's a pretty fun show, I rather enjoy it. Its full of laughs and has some of the most random dance numbers that range from West Side Storyness to Waltzing....and crazy Spanish Style dancing. But overall its a pretty fun show.

I recently Started seeing someone and we have been dating for almost a month! I know hold the applause..Her name is Katie Anderson and she really is one of the most incredible people I've ever met. How we met is rather funny...One of my best friends Taylor called me up one night after rehearsals and was like "hey what are you doing Saturday night" I told him nothing and I was told to meet him at his place around 6 because we are going to Miss Pg Pageant. Now before I asked why he hung up on me..So I was to sit and ponder for 2 days why we are going to a High School pageant...Luckily for me the day of he wanted to go shooting so we grabbed all our stuff and headed up the mountain. I asked him on the way up why the heck we were going to a pageant for high school girls, and apparently he was dating one of the contestants...now after he said this I was kinda laughing because I just thought they were all high school aged lady folk, but the age is actually 18 to 24 so ok I was excited. We showed up got our seats and started to watch. The pageant was actually pretty cool...ok really there were only a few parts I actually liked. All the girls did a wonderful job and the girl that won did some awesome crazy dance thing.

We got invited over to Taylor's dates house after the show. Her name was Amanda..I felt a little weird at first mainly because it was me Tay, Amanda her family and a bunch of other people that I had no idea who they were. So I just grabbed some cake and chilled in the kitchen. Katie didn't come in till a few minutes later and as soon as I saw her I couldn't keep my eyes off her. She is beautiful. We only talked for about 5 minutes and since everything I said sounded like I was a bumbling idiot I didn't get her number before she left. To find out later that she was actually waiting around upstairs for me to go get her number lol..Good going Mont! The rest of the night was fun, we were quizzed by Amanda's 5 year old sister on how many girls we have kissed and if we were gonna marry a girl from the pageant. Good times. I did eventually get her number from one of her friends and Sunday afternoon I got up the guts to send her the cheeseist text I think I've ever sent to a girl. But hey it worked. We had our first day a few days later and it has been great since then.

She really is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. She is so caring and so full of love for those that are dear to her. As well as those that aren't that she just randomly meets. I just sit back and watch so many times as she is always helping and playing with little kids, that just seem to love having her around. She has such a great personality basically the same as mine lol and she has a great sense of humor. She loves the church with all her heart and she is just fun to be around and spend time with. She is beautiful inside and out and i love having her in my life. I've started to become a better person because of her and its great! I'm still psychotic and goofy but in a better person kind of way! haha. More updates on how we are doing in the future...

I was up at my parents place the other day and driving by there was kind of depressing. The gully that I spent most of my childhood is slowly turning into a world of golf and housing which is a bummer for many reasons.

1. When the dam breaks again(which is will) all those pretty houses that cost lots of money will be under water and so will the golf course heheh.

2. I basically spent every day of my childhood from ages 10 to 18 there catching lizards, snakes, scorpions and all sorts of things that would keep us kids entertained. We even spent a few days a year sitting in the dirt looking at rocks trying to find fossils in the rocks that the river had brought down from the mountains. I've even got some pretty cool ones that we found out there. I still have a huge leaf imprint from a plant that is from like 3 million years ago..

We would wake up eat, then head straight down there because we all knew that the lizards would be sluggish in the mornings because of the chilly nights. We always had everything planned out lol. We had groups of us that would go down corner them in bushed and catch them. We all got pretty used to being bitten by snakes and lizards and it got to the point where I didn't even know they were biting me. As we grew older our parents bought us firearms and we would add shooting birds to the list of things to do..We literally spent at least 4 hours a day in that gully. I've gone down there now a few times with some of the littler kids in the ward because parents have asked us to show them how to catch things and it just isn't the same. You have golfers going around everywhere, people running the new trail they have in and there is no more quiet anymore. We saw maybe one or two lizards in the couple hours we were down there when before there would be 20 or 30 that we would catch and the other 20 or 30 that got away from us. The kids got bored after a while and just wanted to go back and play with their Ipods or play video games and it made me realize that the kids now a days just aren't the same in almost no sense that we were when we were kids. We didn't have any of those things growing up and that's how we spent our time.

It's always sad to see old haunts and things being redone or made to fit more people but it makes you realize how vast and huge this world really is. And how ever changing it all is. I learned how to do so many things back in the day because if i wanted to know something my parents would always be like well go figure it out. So I usually did. Now you can just go look it up on the net and have huge details how to do things. I miss the old days but look forward to a bright future with teaching my future kids how to catch a snake or shoot a bird and just have a good time in the wonderful outdoors that we have been so blessed to have so close to us in this state. There are so many things slowly going away to be made for new house divisions and schools and malls and everything that people think will satisfy their now needs. It's crazy how times change and people do what they think is the the "in thing and lose sight of what really is important to them. But hey we all have done it and most of us keep a small glimpse of things we learned how to do to pass on in our lives. And that is how the cookie crumbles
